![]() Once we arrive at the lodge, we will unload your gear and get it situated in your room. We will load your gear into our vehicles and start the journey to camp.Īlong the way, we’ll stop at a grocery and liquor store so you can pick up any special snacks, candies, sodas, or liquor (light social drinking in the evenings at the lodge is permitted). We will have breakfast as a group, then you can check out and pay for your room. On pick-up day, we will meet you in the main lobby area around 8:00 am. Unless you have made special arrangements with us in advance, you will be booked with another hunter from the same camp (to reduce costs). PRE HUNTING EQUIPMENT FREEIt is located a short distance from the airport and there are free shuttles to take you there. Just prior to your hunt starting, you will arrive in Edmonton and will be staying at our affiliate hotel. You can find it in the General Interestsection of our Video gallery. It will teach you what to look for to identify a mature buck, simply by looking at it’s body and features. ![]() You may not have much time to judge your deer, so it is HIGHLY recommended that you study the Aging video we have developed. Having the ability to age an Alberta Whitetail on the hoof is an invaluable skill for ambush hunting. Simply put, if you sight your rifle in to shoot 2.5-3.0 inches high at 100 yards, you will be able to hit a deer’s vitals up to ~300 yards away by holding center mass, eliminating the need to factor in bullet trajectory. Given our hunting method, we highly recommend that you utilize the Maximum Point-Blank Range (MPBR) ballistics methodology. It can be surprising how this can impact your shooting, and we want you to be prepared. While practicing, it is a good idea to shoot with the same gear you will be wearing during your hunt. ![]() It is important to practice shooting your rifle, to be ready for the moment of truth. It will contain your outstanding balance and other useful information pertaining to your upcoming hunt.
